Program Registration: U.S. Dept. of Labor Registered Apprenticeship, Occupation Code 47‑2131.00 (Insulation Worker)
Program Capacity: 10 (9 open spots)
Miller Insulation is expanding its registered apprenticeship workforce to meet upcoming project demands, including federally supported clean‑energy and carbon‑capture (45Q) projects. Applicants are encouraged to apply promptly, as apprentice positions are limited and filled on a rolling basis
Start a rewarding career through our U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program for Insulation Workers. This 4‑year earn‑while‑you‑learn program combines 8,000 hours of on‑the‑job training with 582.5 hours of paid related instruction to help you build a skilled construction career.
As an apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced journeyworkers while gaining the skills needed to build a successful long‑term career in the insulation trade.
What You’ll Do
- Learn to measure, cut, and install industrial and commercial insulation
- Work with mechanical systems, valves, tanks, ducts, and jacketing materials
- Follow safety procedures and work alongside experienced journeyworkers
- Attend required classroom instruction
Program Highlights
- Minimum Starting wage: $20/hr with scheduled raises
- Apprenticeship ratio: 1 apprentice per 1 journeyworker
- Full‑time, year‑round work opportunities
- No experience required — we train you
Basic Requirements
- Age 18+
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work
- Willingness to work outdoors and at elevated heights
